"Because, you know, resilience - if you think of it in terms of the Gold Rush, then you'd be pretty depressed right now because the last nugget of gold would be gone. Circle Skirt Test
I hate after sleeping in one morning you don't want to go to sleep so you're invariably tired the next day so it nullifies sleeping in... That's where I'm at right now. I went to NYC Saturday for a day trip, Kings Dominion for the Haunt Fest yesterday, and today, on my day off I sat in line for an hour and a half at Joann's and then decided to be inspired to mostly make a circle skirt. :) I have a few finishing touches I want to do tomorrow on it, but I'm kind of excited with how it turned out.
All of my fabrics that I have bought in the last month... Kind of horrible, isn't it? The red and white and blue swan fabric are from mood. So is the pearl trim... Everything else is from Joanns.
I tried making my own pattern with my brand new paper. It worked out pretty nicely, except I had about four inches I needed to take off because I measure myself incorrectly. Whoops! Who knew taking measurements of yourself was so hard?
I was really excited about adding this purple.
Unfortunately I only have a plus sized manikin right now, but I am hoping to take some better pictures tomorrow after I am done. I am determined to make pockets!!!!
